Winds of Change Rewards
If there is already a thread on this I am sorry, I searched but only turned up people asking when it was supposed to start.
Anyways War in Kryta got me thinking about possible rewards for Winds of Change. Now while more weapons would be neat and all. I personally feel it is about time for them to put in Luxon and Kurzick armors for Dervs and Paragons. I mean they can spend hours battling for thier chosen side in AB, they can save Cantha from Shiro's wrath. They can subdue the Demi-Gods Urgoz and Kanaxai, and they can help in whatever is about to happen, but they don't get any campaign armor for their Hall to show for it.
It's time, besides I think there could be some awesome looking armor in it.
What do you guys think? Rits and Sins can get Nightfall armor (yes I know it's because of release dates, that's not the point here ) it's only fair for Paras and Dervs to get the same honor.

The only "reward" I'd like to see is the ability to conduct business with any NPC in any town or outpost (not including the areas reserved for the alliance that owns the town) regardless of how much of either faction I have!

I like both of these ideas, armors for Para + Derv and not douchebag NPCs.
Personally, I would like to see a Luxon/Kurzick Merchant in the Guild Hall if your respective alliance owns a town.

There is no Assassin or Ritualist armor in Prophecies or Nightfall either, so
/notsigned
I'd like to see some new badass weapons, and most importantly, some mobs that are gonna woop my ass, cause haven't gotten too much challenges lately, cause tbh, WiK was a piss... I even did the missions HM on my ele without even trying my best, because at first I thought I got double rewards..

Yes there are Sin and Rit armors in Nightfall as Red Dog so kindly linked to. If there weren't I wouldn't have posted this idea in the first place . And none of the later classes have Prophecies armor unless you count FoW so that doesn't really matter.
I too wouldn't mind seeing some really cool weapons out of it as well, but I think it would get boring really fast doing all the extra GWB stuff just to get ANOTHER "end game" weapon you know? I do hope they include something like Royal gifts and random green drops for some cool Mini pets (you can never have to many minis ). Let's say open an Imperial Present for a chance to get a mini Togo anyone?
And I agree with the couple of posts above about the NPCs. So saving all of Cantha from Shiro's wrath isn't enough for you to let me sell to you, surely saving Cantha from whatever horrible disaster is befalling them in the near future should give me a reputation worthy of at least a little respect.

Well, the there are quite a few luxon/kurzick NPCs that after you beat factions campaign say stuff along the lines of "Now that the threat of Shiro the Betrayer is no more, we can put our full attention back into the war effort!" So its pretty reasonable that they still only trade with players that align themselves with the faction.
And I'm pretty sure Winds of Change will primarily deal with the Imperial part of Cantha, not the luxons or kurzicks. This based purely on the fact that Kisu still needs a to father a descendant that later crushes the luxons and kurzicks.

Would love to see some Luxon/Kurzick armor for Dervs. Another set for me to waste money on. I don't need more weapons. >.>

Factions armor for Paragons and Dervishes was suggested on the Wiki. Stumme said it likely won't happen this year, if at all, because of the amount of work that would go into it.
(Thanks to Riverside's Live Team News thread for tracking stuff among the horrible format of Wiki talk. )

I would really NOT want to see new armors in winds of change as odds are they would be rushed and horribly done, or, just a reskin of old armors.
Weapons...I can get behind a bit more...there seems to be less involved in them...I would love some truly rare skins from this... and if/when they do the NF GW:B stuff...I would love to see another design-a-weapon contest. But, I am getting to far ahead.
Basically, weapons are what I would like to see. Not just end of the event (i.e. opressor weapons) but also maybe some new rare drops OS but gold not green (ie. wik greens which were cool but...green.) so somewhat customizable and variable reqs and stuff.

but, as has been stated in the atrocious format guildwiki talk, highly doubtful anytime soon.
Its more likely you can get a factions themed costume though!

Yeah, I thought it would be more Imperial too, but one can dream . I'm more open to the idea of rare skins added as drops, that would be really cool. And as stated above I would much rather see a factions costume than a rushed/reskinned armor set.

Ok so WoC will only benifit Dervish and Paragons then? Its not a solution. If only those 2 professions get a new armor, then all the others go cry that their rewards are so lousy, and if all professions get a new armor then the Derv and Paragon still have a set less. So imo, it doesn't solve anything. Besides isnt WoC more going to be about the Imperial parts (aka Kaieng?) or are we off to the kurzick and luxon parts aswell (the wind might suggest that, I must admit).
I'd rather have other rewards then another armor set for just 2 professions. I'd prefer more awesome (uninscripable!) canthan weapons. Or perhabs finish off the zodiac and celestial line (add focus, scythe spear etc). Perhabs a new mini.
So for me, /notsigned.

if it wont be this year, it may be next year then, and even if GW2 will be released, people will keep playing GW, so enough reason to do it... although they may need some of their "art budget" for GW2, but better later with good looks, than tomorrow with bad looks
i know Stumme will keep it in mind, as he said that on the wiki page, and we see changes cuz of him
(gosh, what would we do without him)
so yea, i'd like to see it, but i doubt it'll be anytime soon
ps. this is an old suggestion (not sure if it is on these forums), but still a good one

But, I do think that the luxons and kurzicks will have to do with it, since in GW2, the emperor will have completely crushed the war between kurz and luxons, and Cantha was reunited, by a semi-dictator, but reunited nonetheless..
And, all other professions have enough armor as it is, the core professions have Proph armor, which others don't, Ssin and Rit have the extra NF armor I didn't think about before speaking up, so Derv and Para should get extra armors too, although Rit and ssin have exclusive armors in factions to sort of make up for the proph armors, but they are f*cking ugly anyway, so no one cares.

Unless we can time travel to the future, it won't be happening. Kisu's son is the one who will crush the Luxon's and Kurzicks, and these events won't happen for another 48 years.
1079 AE - The War in Kryta ends with the White Mantle's defeat; Queen Salma takes the throne and establishes the Seraph.
1127 AE - Emperor Usoku defeats the Kurzicks and the Luxons, unifies Cantha and begins purging non-humans and political enemies.

Sins and rits cannot get prophecies only armor(obby is core armor because u may still access uw+fow from the temple, dervs and paras cannot get factions armor. Proph chars can get all campaigns armor because the campaign itself is long... So they are rewarded other campaign armor if they got that far.
If anything why not have a costume/ celestial armor crafter (armor looks like the texture from celestial weapons and nit celestial beings) end of winds of change or a costume with a cloak of stars

While they got a couple new sets, Rits and Assassins didn't get Primeval or Sunspear Armor in NF tough, and they also can't craft any form of basic armor in Elona. Sunspear Armor in particular is the equivalent of Kurzick/Luxon armor, so they were pretty much treated the same way.
Three reasons why this is /notsigned for me:
- I'm against selective rewards. I don't see why WoC should reward only two classes with new content, expecially since these are NF professions and WoC takes place in Cantha.
- It makes perfect sense for newer professions not being able to craft armor sets in campaigns prior their introduction, so I see little to no reason to address a non-existent issue.
- WoC will pave the way for the suppression of both factions, so, lore-wise, armor sets bound to the factions-war are rather out of place IMO.
